Summary
Hannafin Automation & Industrial Controls is an expanding business in the city of Belleville, seeking a full-time experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who takes pride in his/her/their work and is a proven leader.
Technical Responsibilities
o Proficient in:
o 3D Design and CAD using SolidWorks, Solid Edge or Similar
o Creating large 3D assemblies and floor layouts
o Technical drawings for fabrication
o Creating detailed BOMs for ordering parts
o Documentation and organization using Microsoft office programs
o CAE using Finite Element Analysis
o Expectations:
o A strong understanding of the mechanical design process
o Work with vendors to get mechanical components ordered/fabricated
o Ability to estimate the required time and material required to complete a job
o Ability to work hands on with mechanical equipment
o Attend client meetings and site visits to audit the wants and needs of the customer while developing a scope / deliverable list
o Create and maintain a strong professional relationship
o Audit delivery times for parts and complete detailed equipment inspections when they arrive
o An understanding of a variety of fabrication methods
o Assist/complete other tasks as requested
Experience/Educational Requirements
· 10+ years experience in Mechanical Design role or equivalent using Solid Works and or Solid Edge in a manufacturing environment
· Minimum 3 years education in a mechanical engineering discipline (Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certification will also be considered)
· Experience in project management, project planning and project execution
· experience assisting with installations and construction efforts of mechanical systems.

Other Requirements
o Understand, demonstrate and promote company safety culture procedures and practices to prevent injuries
o Possess strong familiarity with Microsoft Windows such as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
o WHMIS, CPR and/or other certificates considered an asset
o Able to work overtime when necessary; some limited travel and/or shift support may be required
o Superior command of the English language (verbal & written)

- Hourly Rate: $24.00 – 40.00 (Competitive pay rate in accordance to skills, qualifications, and years of experience)
